Booking a session with Studio Lumiere is about so much more than your average photography session. It's about the details - our naturally lit studio space with a classic design & furniture, access to our client closet with over 40 gowns for moms and many outfit options for dads and children, a personalized experience with Kristyn or Mackenzie.. the list goes on! If you feel that Studio Lumiere may be the right fit to document your family's special moments, please reach out through the contact form! We will send you more information and would love to either chat through email or schedule a time to chat over the phone. We take on a limited number of sessions per month and suggests booking in advance to make sure you reserve a space in the timeframe you are hoping for. Newborn session dates are not chosen in advance, rather we reserve tentative spots for families and then you reach out to us once baby arrives to schedule your session. To reserve your session, we require the session fee up front as well as a signed contract.
Step one:
INQUIRE & RESERVE YOUR SESSION
Once you're all booked in, we will send you our client guide with an abundance of helpful information to help you feel prepared. These are mainly tips on how to prepare on the morning of your newborn session, what to bring to different types of sessions, and studio guidelines. All clients have access to our curated client closet with over 70 dresses for moms and outfits for dads and children up to 7 years old. This is one of our favorite aspects of Studio Lumiere - it saves families time and money on outfits that you may not even wear again. We are also happy to help you with booking professional makeup and hair services with one of the talented companies we trust.
STEP TWO:
PREPARE FOR YOUR SESSION
Every effort is taken to make sure the studio is a safe and welcoming place for families. When you arrive at our downtown studio, we will invite you to try on outfits, your little ones are welcome to play in our kids area, and we have supplies for babies as well. There will be enough time to change, enjoy a beverage, and get comfortable before the camera comes out. For newborn sessions, new moms are able to have hair and makeup done when they arrive if that is their preference. Kristyn and Mackenzie's warm and outgoing personalities help everyone to feel welcome and comfortable, and we loves connecting with our clients! We will give you direction while making sure to allow room for those authentic moments to happen between family members.
STEP THREE:
YOUR PHOTO SESSION
You'll receive a link with your proofing gallery approximately 1-2 weeks after your session. This gallery will have approximately 60-70 images from your session for you to choose from. There are options for digital packages, and prints and albums are available. The images you choose to purchase will be fully edited and retouched, and you'll receive both color and black and white versions. We are able to accommodate editing requests and strive to deliver images that our clients love and feel proud to print and display in their homes! Your final images are edited within 2 weeks and delivered to you through a downloadable online gallery. After this, we will hope to hear from you down the road to book your next session!
STEP FOUR:
AFTER YOUR SESSION
$250 for maternity, family, cake smash, sitter sessions
(60-75 minutes)
$300 for newborns
(approximately 2-2.5 hours)

Digital file offerings begin at $350 for maternity, family and milestone sessions, and $450 for newborn sessions. Prints and albums available.
Minimum investment required per session is $600 (maternity, family or milestone) or $650 (newborn), and the majority of clients invest around

We had such a lovely experience working with Kristyn! She was so organized, very professional and most importantly, her photographs are absolutely beautiful! She scoped out the best spots for gorgeous lighting on a summer evening and was incredibly patient and sweet while capturing the most precious moments with our newborn twins.
