To say this session was a dream come true is an understatement – I had imagined my own maternity session for years, I picked the dress before we found out our second IVF was a success. I thought about doing it outdoors at golden hour, hoping that the sunset would give the glowing light I love so much. I wanted to include my wonderful husband, Sean, and our sweet labradoodle, Millie. Needless to say, all of these ideas came together perfectly and I couldn’t have been happier. Mackenzie documented everything we were feeling so beautifully. There was so much joy, a lot of anticipation… I was filled with emotion and may have cried tears of happiness multiple times. PS: We had a wardrobe malfunction, a dog who didn’t always want to cooperate… just so everyone knows that nothing is ever perfect! As I hold my sweet daughter M while I write this, I realize just how precious these memories are. She will always know how much we loved her even before she arrived, and I can’t wait to show her these photos one day.

I had never imagined offering outdoor newborn sessions… until the pandemic started! Before I was able to open the studio again...
I recently created this beautiful canvas backdrop and immediately started dreaming about photographing a mother and daughter session on it!
How adorable is baby C? She was born at the start of this pandemic and wasn’t able to have her newborn photos done. Her and her mama were such a delight
